BIG CORPS CALL IT

'radical transparency'

We just call it doing things how they should have always been done.

Our focus is correcting the wrongs of an industry that has never listened. Always put profit before the people that make their apparel. Always putting greed before our planet.

WE DON'T SACRIFICE STYLE

for sustainability - we merged them together instead.

After years of scouring every single paper we could find online, every book and every fashion report we could get our hands on, we got to grips with the latest innovation within the industry to understand what materials and processes were truly the most sustainable.

And we've combined our love for contemporary streetwear with sustainability.

and our factory

Our sustainable footwear factory is located in the north of Portugal, which is well-known for its excellence for footwear production. We stand by quality before quantity.

Our manufacturing team work with us, striving for excellent product quality, technology optimization and social commitment.

We ensure payment of the living wage throughout our supply chain - the living wage in Portugal is €655 and everyone at our factory is paid over the national wage with the employees receive an average salary of €800 a month.

The gender distribution is 60% male to 40% female. Everyone works for 8 hours a day from Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm with a 2 hour lunch break.

Concerning holidays, everyone is entitled to 22 working days of paid vacations a year according to the Portuguese labour code.

Our factory is a brand-new state of the art facility and it is regularly surveyed.

GET TO KNOW THE TEAM BEHIND TRASH PLANET

hello, we are the designers behind your apparel

We are Holly and Jordan and we are based in Bristol in the United Kingdom.

We were sick and tired of the fashion industry producing unsustainable clothing, treating their workers unethically and doing nothing about the climate emergency we are facing.

We dropped everything to research the industry for two years, then we drove over 2,000 km in a beaten-up 20 year old car to make Trash Planet a reality.
